Jennifer Thompson

Impact Angel Investor, Director, 2IC

Jennifer has spent the past 25 years bringing clean technologies to market, starting from first principles in applied science. She was most recently a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of CryoLogistics Refrigeration Technologies, a Victoria-based start-up building CO2-powered shipping boxes for the food transport sector. She was also an early Executive with Enterra Feed, a bulk insect ingredient company; EnWave Corporation, low-energy dehydration technology for food and pharmaceuticals; Westport Innovations, natural gas engines for buses and trucks; and Facet Decision Systems, GIS-based environmental impact assessment software (there had to be one s/w in the list…).

She has mentored many startups as an EIR at Foresight Cleantech Accelerator, e@UBC and SFU’s Venture Connection. Jennifer is past Chair of CuePath Innovations, as well as Urban Academy School in New Westminster. She has also been a Director with Acuva Technologies and CryoLogistics, and the corporate secretary for TSX-V:ENW. Jennifer’s current investment portfolio is available at Hardware.City.
